Graduation

This morning I had the joy of graduating from Reformed Theological Seminary. This was the culmination of a 7 wonderful and sometimes long years (two years of that at The Bethlehem Institute)
I am struck with a deep sense of gratitude, first for God’s grace then for my wife. My graduation is more a reflection of [...]

MIA

I have not read a blog post in two weeks.
I haven’t even opened my blog reader.
I am a blog slacker…and proud dad of a new baby!
I will be back soon Lord willing.

Health Care 101

Being from Canada the issue of heath care is of great interest to me.
I listened to the Dianne Rehm show this morning briefly as her guests shared different visions of what health care reform should like in the United States, and what it would take to achieve them.
If you were President what would you [...]

T4G

Spent today in a car with 6 of my pastors on the way to Louisville, KY for the Together for the Gospel conference. Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new. I miss my family already. Next time remind me to take them with me!

My Junky Car

I’ve been a member of the Junky Car Club for the last 6 months or so and wear my bumper sticker proudly. Just the other day a guy in an old pickup waved at me to roll down my window. I grabbed my window roller thing without the roller (they melted off last summer in [...]

Adoption Summit IV. T4G. BofB.

I just signed up for the Adoption Summit IV. Looking forward to meeting many new adoption/orphan care friends in person.
Also looking forward to Together for the Gospel in a couple of weeks and the Band of Bloggers event.
Let me know if you will be at any of these. I’d love to connect!

Lunar Eclipse

Anyone else see the lunar eclipse last night? We got a glimpse as we packed the kids in the car after date night. Very sweet!

Sicko

We just watched Michael Moore’s Sicko. I am about to put the house up for sale and move the family back to my homeland where there is free healthcare for all. Or France, or Cuba where healthcare is paid by tax-dollars as well. No copays, no deductible, no one turned away because they don’t have [...]

Back in the Saddle

We are officially back from our Great Texas Road Trip of 2008! It was a great trip in many ways that has left me with a to-do list a mile long!
On the top of my list is getting a routine going. What does your morning routine look like? What about the evening?

Traveling

Things have been slow here for the past couple of weeks with the Christmas holidays and our trip to Texas. I am here visiting my wife’s family and connecting with churches and donors for The ABBA Fund. We are currently in Austin, a city both Shawnda and I love.
Next stop is the Dallas area [...]
