I had a great meeting with Ruth Amerson of Another Choice for Black Children Adoption Agency this morning. For the past 13 years they have been recruiting adoptive homes for African-American children, most of which are between the ages of 4-17. To date they have placed over 1000 children proving that black families do adopt and foster children!
What also impressed me is how much of their time and energy goes into ensuring that these adoptive parents are supported and the kids are helped in every way possible. It is an awesome testimony of community working together.
Please pray for them when you get a chance - that they would continue to be used to find homes for these children who for the most part only dream of having a permanent home. Ask God to raise up more and more black families called to adopt! And pray for continued funding and blessing from God.
