That was my bowling score last week for our datenight. We had a great time! Next time we might try the roller skating rink and take over the junior high and elementary school kids!

What other cheap, fun, interesting, creative dates can you recommend?

    Hey Jason…

One of our favorites is just going to a coffee shop and playing cards or some other game. It is cheap and it is fun, and we have time to talk too! I highly recommend it!!! Our other things are just to go places, like the mall or a park or something with no alternative motives or purposes other than to just be together. We like to people watch, so these are great places to do that! I’m sure that you have lots of creative ways for date nights! When our daughter was little, we made sure she was in bed early enough that we could even do date nights at home…making coffee, renting a movie that we had been wanting to see, playing cards and/or games, and just talking. Again, this requires putting aside all the other things that have to be done at home and just letting them go so we can spend our time together. Have fun!

do you have any coffee shops or other places that have live music? it feels like you get your money’s worth when you can order a good coffee drink when there’s live entertainment. a locally owned shop here has live celtic music every thursday evenings, just a few people playing together really informally. anywhere from 4 to 8 people show up to play together, so it’s fun to see what kind of mix of instruments there’ll be, too. that’s one of our favorite date spots. sometimes those things aren’t really advertised, so it might take some hunting around.

we bought fingerpaints one time when we were engaged and that made a really fun date, too.
