That’s the fancy name for those Psalms that you just aren’t sure what to do with? You know, the ones that call on God to destroy the wicked and for vengeance on one’s enemies. For years I kind of skipped over those verses.
JT has been posting on John Day’s book Crying for Justice: What the Psalms Teach Us about Mercy and Vengeance in an Age of Terrorism. I read this last semester for one of my seminary classes and found it a very helpful and biblical treatment of these Psalms.
