Here’s a dump of thoughts from the week -

• Shawnda and I spent the last few days at Lake Junlaska for our church leadership retreat. It was refreshing, encouraging and good to get away.
• We will bring our own pillows next time we go on a trip
• I have so little time to take photos these days - I wish there were more hours in a day.
• We will bring our own blankets next time we go on a trip
• We are looking at buying a house. Pray for wisdom and discernment!
• Shawnda’s laptop makes loud beeping noises and we think it’s going to self-destruct any day now!
• Karis has been standing on her own like crazy this past week!
• I finished my paper for OT in the NT - it was the best class I’ve taken in seminary and the hardest paper I’ve had to do
• I’m doing my next paper on the Sabbath.
• For today’s Sabbath I mowed the lawn, trimmed a hedge, weed-eated, wrote some emails, worked on some photos that I have been meaning to get out!
• Wes McMurray is a blogging machine!
• On our way home from the retreat we stopped in Asheville and had some good coffee at the Dripolator - we didn’t get to see much of the city as their big arts festival was happening but I want to go back and visit
• Joe preached a great sermon this morning on being salt and light
