Apparantly this is old news but I just read a blog by someone camping at a State Park in South Dakota that has wireless. I googled it and found California State parks have a deal with AT&T and Kentucky State Parks are hooked up as well.
Maybe it’s just me but this amazes me. When I go camping I want to get away from wireless!

Posted 13 Jul 2007 at 10:21 am ¶I just found out that it isn’t uncommon a few days ago: My mom is traveling across the country (should be in Newfoundland today!) and she’s found one of the most common places for her to update her site (http://chrysalis57.wordpress.com) is at campsites! I love how our culture adapts!
But I do see what you mean about the ‘getting away’ from that sort of thing.
