Mind Dump
There is so much going on and going through my mind these days:
- I am taking Genesis through Joshua this week at RTS. Very good stuff. I am falling in love with the Old Testament.
- As soon as I can I want to read a book about the Freedom Riders
- Bullwinkles - remember the show? Remember the restaurant? We may take the kids to Chuck-E-Cheese next week - I’ve never been but I don’t think it could be as cool as Bullwinkles : )
- What do you think of 7-Eleven transforming their stores into Simpson’s Qwik-E-Marts? Is it racist? Read this article that says it is.
- Should Christian cremate their loved ones? Russell Moore shares his perspective.
- As a father of a baby who has had diaper-rash issues this post on Buttpaste As The Solution to Church Growth made me laugh out loud.
- I’m honored to be collaborating with these brothers on AdoptiveDads.org
- I pray a ministry like Project127 in CO would get started in every State!
- I love smoothies, especially from Jamba Juice or made by her.
- Homeopathy is cool!
- I am having my socks inspired off by Christina, Lukas, Mariano, and Jesh.

hello from hong kong
my husband and i enjoy your blog and your family blog as well. we are canadians residing in hong kong.
i have epilepsy and have been following your sweet son’s progress. mine was diagnosed as a child as well, and i can remember those sleep deprivation cat scans and tests, all so challenging.
we have a three year old daughter named carys, and i thought you could pass something special on to your wife, i noticed on her blog she gave the greek definition of the word, but carys, in its welsh spelling, means beloved, (and who cares about spelling?) as it is obvious all three of your children are, not just by their parents, but by the Lord who has entrusted them to you.
your story is precious and dear. my husband and i tried to adopt before undergoing fertility treatments. because of my epilepsy we “failed” our home study. your story is beautiful.
all best ~ tess lyons
