What is Wrong With This Picture?

I came across this the other day on an adoption agency’s website under the section, “Domestic Special Needs Program.” This is one of the things that breaks my wife’s and my heart and led us to specifically adopt African American children.
Children in the Domestic Special Needs Program include children of all ages who are:1. [...]

God-Centered Worship

Check out New Moniker Music, the site of Gary Brumley, who was the worship pastor at one of the churches we attended when we lived in Texas and now leads worship at this great new church plant.
The purpose of the site is –

Singing With Our Savior

“And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.” Mark 14:26
One thing that has struck me over the years is how Jesus and the disciples sang a hymn after the Passover meal. I have wondered what hymn they sang? What it would have been like to not merely worship [...]

John Calvin on the Cross

Calvin from his commentary on Galatians 6:14:
To glory in the cross of Christ, is to glory in Christ crucified. But something more is implied. In that death, — so full of disgrace and ignominy, which God himself has pronounced to be accursed, and which men are wont to view with abhorrence and shame, — in [...]
