I was blessed to receive a 60gig ipod from my friend and boss for my birthday in July. It was undeserved and has been a huge blessing! I have it filled with all my songs, sermons, photos and with the extra space, a full backup of my hard drive!
I have also started listening to podcasts and wanted to mention a few:
First is This American Life, which just started podcasting their weekly radio show last week! I love this show for the window it gives into the lives of such a diversity of people and aspects of our culture. The latest show on ‘Fiasco’s’ made me laugh out loud numerous times on my drive into class this morning!
Another show similar to This American Life but from a purely Christian perspective is Hugh Duncan’s Nuclearity. He is focusing on aspects of culture as well but with a view to the family. His show on media, ‘Fasting from a Fast Brain,’ is superb! Listen here.
The other podcasts I listen to regularly:
Desiring God Sermon Audio - Piper’s weekly sermons
Mars Hill Church Music - Driscoll’s church music, great stuff!
Radiant Worship: Intimate Devotional Worship
Resurgence - Missional Theology Cooperative podcasts
43 Folders - podcasts on personal productivity, life hacks, and simple ways to make your life a little better.
Ask a Ninja - A ninja answers your questions
Bible Greek Vpod - Keeping up with my biblical Greek
If you have any podcast recommendations please pass them along!
*UPDATE: Bob Kauflin has some excellent thoughts on the ipod. It is well worth the read! Check it out here.

Hey Jason,
I’ve secretly been reading your blog for quite some time. It’s nice. I want to be blogging soon. With the thought of leaving CCC soon, I’m looking for a good way to keep in touch with all of the people who have been my ’supporters’ so long, now that i won’t be sending out prayer letters in the mail. Anyways, life in Turkey is good.
You mention podcasts. I wanted to mention a show that my wife and i have been listening to since the summer. http://www.thegodjourney.com/ it’s really interesting. It’s like two guys who’ve left traditional congregations but are still very in love with Jesus and experiencing relationship with Him and with others. These guys’ teaching has really caught me off guard and all in the sudden has me longing more and more for God and for a more real experience of church life. Thought you may want to check it out.

Hey Jason, I don’t know if you’re still listening to This American Life or not, but I have been since I heard about it here on your blog. Thanks for the recommendation. I love it. Whether you’re still listening to it or not, you should check out the episode from two weeks ago

The second act has a story of an Orthodox Jew talking about his perspective of God. It’s an amazingly sad picture of how someone can mis-characterize God due to how his father was.
Anyways, Listening today in the car got me to thinking about how I first found this podcast. Thanks buddy. I hope you’re doing great.
I still enjoy your blog.
